Jasmine's Invent Nano!

Date added: Dec. 12, 2014

Congratulations to Jasmine Delaney a student at Ringsend College who came second in the Invent Nano post primary competition 2014.

Invent Nano is a national competition run by CRANN and AMBER at Trinity College, which challenged secondary school students to come up with their vision of the future using nanotechnology through a poster.

Jasmine was presented with a €100 cheque by the Irish Science Teachers Association National Chairperson, Ms Mary Mullaghy at their annual ISTA Conference held at NUI Galway. Her science poster was made especially into a professional poster. The presentation was held in the halls of the National University of Ireland, Galway.

Her poster looked at how nanotechnology could assist the blind. Jasmine’s cleverly inspired ‘blind person’s cane’ makes great use of nanotechnology using nano-materials and technology.
