It is my great pleasure to introduce myself as the Principal and leader of teaching & learning here in Ringsend College. Having commenced my new role here in March 2022 I have been overwhelmed by the kindness, support and good nature of the people in Ringsend/Irishtown and the surrounding areas. Ringsend is an area steeped in great history and tradition and the sense of community and traditions associated with great inner-city Dublin communities of old are still very much alive here in this beautiful part of our capital city.
My own perception of quality education and what underpins my own educational leadership philosophies are based on creating an inclusive quality learning environment by promoting a culture of excellence and achievement through both curricular and non-curricular educational experiences. Good schools are built around clear communication, clear student expectations and developing positive relationships amongst all stakeholders and education partners.
As Principal I offer you my commitment to ensuring that the students in my care are offered the best possible educational experience here in Ringsend College. We offer an educational experience that promotes achievement and excellence in academic attainment in addition to providing a holistic and well-rounded educational experience for all of our valued students.
Finally it would not be possible to do my job and run this fantastic school if it were not for all the excellent students who we have here at both post primary and FE levels in addition to an excellent cohort of caring, dedicated and hardworking teachers and school staff that I have the great privilege of leading and working with to continue to positively develop our wonderful school.
I look forward to welcoming you to our school and I am always happy to deal with any questions, queries or enquiries that you may have in relation to the educational experience that we offer here in Ringsend College.
Mr Jonathan Walker,
Principal.
